Triumph at Mansion House !

We held our first ever Livery Banquet at Mansion House this month and what a marvelous evening it was!  Over 200 guests;  harpist;  trumpeters;  pianist;  Pikemen and Musketeers were involved. We were honoured by the presence of the Lord Mayor  and Lady Mayoress; several peers of the realm;  and a wide range of Masters from modern and ancient Livery Companies. Professor Chi-chi Nwanoku MBE ( founder of The Chineke Orchestra) , and world famous double bassist, played several pieces of music dedicated to our Lord Mayor, with 16 year old William on piano.

The speaker,  Nikos Mourkogiannis, author of "Purpose" explained why he felt "doing good" has ensured the longevity of Livery Companies.

-  Tues. 9th May. 363rd Festival of the Sons of the Clergy.  At: St Paul's Cathedral.  Arrival time:  4:30 latest! for 5 pm service.  A key event in the City Civic calendar It will be attended by the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs; Alderman and Bishops; and many supporters of the charity. As in previous years there is no charge for tickets which should be requested from the Julie Fox: clerk@wcomc.org but there is a request for attendees to make a donation when leaving the Cathedral.
