Happy Holiday

Your Master's Voice....

Well, with a month to reflect, do we have any new insights about Brexit?  Actually, I have read a couple of thoughtful pieces - which I mentioned in the recent WCoMC Shoptalk evening on the subject and was asked to pass on. They are by Roger Scruton in Prospect Magazine and by Robert Tombs in the New Statesman.

It was a lively evening spent discussing the impact of the decision on our profession – and, of course, the opportunities it’s going to create. Do read David Johnson’s notes on the session (here below).

Meanwhile, let’s look forward to having a nice summer break and coming back reinvigorated and keen to face whatever new challenges have arrived by September!

Best wishes

David Peregrine-Jones, Master

WORSHIPFUL COMMAND TECHNIQUES:  Counteract at once that post-holiday feeling of wellbeing, by ratcheting up that healthy level of nervousness at your client’s workplace…

First week back comments:

  1. Whatever kind of look you were going for, you missed it.
  2. I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.
  3. How about never?  Is never good for you?
  4.  I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.
  5. I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to see it my way.
  6. I like you.  You remind me of myself when I was young and stupid.
  7.  You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers.
  8.  I have plenty of talent and vision;  I just don't give a damn.
  9.  I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.
  10.  I will always cherish the initial misconceptions I had about you.
  11.  Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view.
  12. The fact that no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist.
  13.  Any connection between your reality and mine is  purely coincidental.
  14.  I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant.
  15.  It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot of Karma to burn  off....
