Yvonne Coghill OBE was appointed as Director, Workforce Race Equality Standard Implementation in July 2015 to take forward work on the new Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES). With more than 20 years experience in nursing, she has held a number of operational and strategic leadership posts, and in 2013 she was voted by colleagues in the NHS as one of the top 50 most inspirational women, one of the top 50 most inspirational nurse leaders and one of the top 50 BAME pioneers, two years in a row. She was awarded an OBE for services to healthcare in 2010.

Tony Hall, Director General of the BBC, is at the forefront of driving forward initiatives to improve the representation of people Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds both on and off-screen. Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe

As Commissioner of Police, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe has been instrumental in driving forward greater inclusion both within the police force and in the communities they protect. Born in Sheffield, Sir Hogan-Howe joined South Yorkshire Police in 1979 and rose the ranks to be appointed as Commissioner of Police in September 2011. Under his watch, the force has gone from strength-to-strength ad this is evidenced in the force’s role in generating inter-communal harmony and a shared sense of community in some of the most diverse boroughs of London.

Vinay Kapoor has a professional career in Financial Services spanning nearly 20 years. Graduated with an MBA in 2006, Vinay was appointed as the BNP Paribas’ first ever Head of Diversity & Inclusion. Having successfully embedded D&I into BNP Paribas UK at all levels of the organisation and employee life cycle Vinay’s creative spirit has been demonstrated in BNP Paribas’ industry leading Diversity & Inclusion Week. In 2015, Vinay was recognised as “Top 50 Global D&I Professional” by The Economist in 2015; featured in The Telegraph’s “Top 50 LGBT Professionals” and the London PRIDE PowerList.
