​Lord Mayors Parade - Saturday 9 November

On Saturday 9th November 2024 Alderman Alastair King DL as the 696th Lord Mayor of the City of London holds his parade through the streets of London, which is his first Official Public engagement.

This is a celebration of the vast array of groups, liveries, charitable organisations, businesses and cultures that make this City what it is today.

The Master invites you to join him, the Wardens and other members of the Company as we parade through packed streets with the Sea Cadets, taking part in and soaking up the atmosphere of a truly magical day. Bring your friends, family, children or even Grandchildren to experience this fantastic event.

We meet at Plaisterers Hall at 09:00 for those who would like to join us for a light breakfast for only £ 5.00 contribution on the day.

We will parade up ready for the start of our procession with the Sea Cadets at 10:15 hours.

At lunchtime the Lord Mayor stops off at the Law Courts to meet the Judges, and whilst he does, we take the opportunity to grab soup and a sandwich at a local hostelry, if you prefer you can bring your own packed lunch to eat whilst mixing with the other groups in the parade.

We then set off for the homeward leg, back to our start point near London Wall.

Join us of all or part of the parade, or if that is not possible, please join in the crowd to wave and cheer everyone on, especially the Sea Cadets and your Livery.

Dress code is "Smart Casual" appropriate for the weather on the day.
