When Every Conversation Counts

In recent research conducted by the Centre for Management Consulting Excellence (CMCE), “Agreeing client expectations” was identified as an overwhelming majority (73%) of respondents as the most important factor impacting the delivery of value by consultants to their clients.

The research also provided important insights into how best to manage expectations during the consulting engagement. “Effective communication” (identified by 38% of respondents) and “Building open and trusting relationships” (identified by 33% of respondents) were identified as the next most important factors.

“When Every Conversation Counts” is intended to explore how to communicate more effectively and how this contributes to manging client expectations.

With every conversation we have the opportunity to connect, learn, inform, inspire and ultimately take actions that help us progress our objectives. In an increasingly omni-channel world our conversations take place in various forms be that in person or on virtual platforms. Some conversations will be critical, and others may have a different focus but perhaps be no less important in the long term. The challenge, and opportunity, is how to make every conversation count. 

CMCE is delighted to welcome Kathryn Mitchell and Graham Drew from The Conversation Lab to provide participants with the opportunity to learn about the models, tools and techniques that enable us to optimise the value from every conversation.

Kathryn Mitchell is an experienced, certified coach and works with senior business leaders helping them to navigate the world of leadership. Kathryn’s 30-year business career spans a number of key industries and disciplines, including marketing, sales and facilitation, combining to give her a multidimensional perspective of what it takes to be a great and effective leader

Graham Drew has a wealth of commercial business experience gained over 30 years in a range of sectors. He has led teams on both sides of the buying/selling table, is an expert negotiator and Certified Forensic Interviewer.
