CMCE Event - AI in Management Consulting
AI in Management Consulting
Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents both a major opportunity and a major threat for management consulting. This online event, organised jointly by the British Academy of Management (BAM) Management Consulting Network (MCN) and the Centre for Management Consulting Excellence (CMCE), will explore the opportunities and threats by showcasing cutting-edge research into the application of AI in management consulting and its implications for the profession.
The event on 6 June will comprise three online sessions, each featuring a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session:
10.00 – 11.30: ‘AI in Professional Service Firms: a research study’, Professor Joe O’Mahoney. Joe will present the findings of his recent research. The session will also include a breakout period for discussion in small groups followed by a whole-audience discussion.
14.00 – 15.00: ‘Enhancing Consulting Outcomes: Business Sparks' AI-Powered Approach to Generating Innovative SME Strategies’, Dr Kos Zachos. Kos will demonstrate AI tools for consultants being developed at the National Centre for Creativity enabled by AI (CebAI) at Bayes Business School.
17.00 – 18.30: ‘Building the higher order management consultancy skills needed to excel in the AI era’, Professor David V L Smith and Adam Riley MBA. David and Adam will discuss the critical skills needed by management consultants to use AI effectively.
