MMIW #8 - Board Effectiveness Reviews Thursday 10th June
Everything you wanted to know about Board Effectiveness
How do you judge a Board's effectiveness? What does effectiveness look like? What’s the benchmark? For answers to these and many other questions join us on Thursday 10th June for the latest in our virtual series of My Most Interesting Whatever….
Freeman Ian White is a Board Evaluation and Corporate Governance practitioner, and he will share his knowledge and experience of Board Effectiveness. There will be the usual opportunities for Q&A and we will organise a panel discussion for the second half of the evening. This is sure to be of interest whether you’re working with FTSE 100 Companies or working pro bono with Charities. For Trustees of Charities this is must!
Ian has undertaken a number of board evaluations mainly for FTSE 100/250, private, public and not-for-profit organisations. Ian has been the Chief Legal Officer and/or Company Secretary for both listed and major private companies. In addition, he spent 6 months as a governance consultant for a major international bank working on board effectiveness/ governance for the main Board. In the charity sector Ian has been a Trustee (and Vice Chair) of two medium sized charities. As well as being a lawyer Ian has an MBA from Ashridge Business School and is a CEDR Accredited Mediator.
