A half-day conference covering recent research relating to management consulting.  This event is open both to Company Members and Non-Members to book.

The CMCE Consulting Research Conference is designed to promote the sharing of academic research and practitioner experience in the management consulting community with the launch of our annual Research Awards in 2019.

The conference will feature a keynote address from Professor Michael Mainelli, newly elected Sheriff, and will include presentations from the winning authors in each of three categories:

  • K Warner and M Wager on "Building dynamic capabilities for digital transformation"
  • A Sturdy on "Promoting solutions and co-constructing problems"
  • R Luther, E Haustein and G Webber on "Management control in UK innovation companies"

In addition to presenting the Awards for these three categories, the Company's Urwick Cup will be presented to the best paper overall.  Further details can be found here and a list of those who have booked is here.

The conference is sponsored by Elevation Learning and will take place at Goodenough College, commencing at 1.30pm and concluding by 6.00pm.  It will be followed by a reception where attendees can continue discussions and network with their colleagues and fellow attendees.
