Management Consultants brave the rain with Sea Cadets at Lord Mayor’s Show

This is how the Sea Cadets and Cadet Link have just reported our November trudge in the rain at the Lord Mayor's Show.  (We continue to provide ProBono Consultancy and Charitiable Fund donations to YOU London and their Partner Organisations as part of our strategic goal of supporting the development of young people.)

A very wet and soggy Saturday 9th November saw nearly 200 Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets from all across London, accompanied by the Master, Clerk and Wardens of the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants, taking part in the Lord Mayor’s Parade.

The cadets and their sponsoring Liverymen all braved some very wet and challenging conditions, and proved yet again that Sea Cadets can have fun regardless of what the weather throws at them. Lima Company Royal Marines Cadets looked magnificent lining the street at St Pauls Cathedral, and the highlight was certainly the float lorry, professionally built and funded by the MSSC and the Management Consultants. The picture shows young cadets enjoying the float, and is provided courtesy of MSSC.

Captain of the Sea Cadets, Captain Jonathan Holloway Royal Navy, said “I watched some of the BBC coverage of the Lord Mayor’s Parade and it was clear to me that all members of the Sea Cadet Corps taking part were doing a great job in very difficult conditions, presenting the Corps in the best possible light at a high-profile public event. Commitment, self-discipline and loyalty were all clearly on display and I’m sure that the other Sea Cadet values were also shown in abundance.”
