Dear Clerk,
I am writing to all Livery Companies with details of a visit to Ypres and the Battlefields of Flanders at the end of August 2014 that is being organised by the City of London Historical Society.
Attached are two documents outlining the visit which will feature the presence of the Lord Mayor who will lay a wreath at the Menin Gate before attending a Civic Dinner in Cloth Hall in Ypres.
I would be most grateful if you could forward these details to your Freedom and Livery so that expressions of interest can be made.
We expect the visit to be popular and there is a limit to the numbers that can be accommodated. Because of this applications will be dealt with on a first come first served basis.
