From hype to reality: is consultancy innovation just hot air...?
How will consultants prepare for the "next big thing" that comes along...?
Hype? Hot air? Surely not terms you’d associate with management consultancy? Speaking as someone who lived through the birth and subsequent decline of business process reengineering, I’d say our profession is not immune from the occasional bit of overstatement, or even using clients as a test-bed for new and unproven ideas. How then can consultants innovate to address the new demands of the marketplace as artificial intelligence, big data and the next “next big thing” comes along?
The next CMCE Technical Symposium on 28th February at Coventry University’s London Campus will address this question, with a genuine expert along to guide us. Shailendra Vyakarnam, Director of the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship at Cranfield University will apply the findings from his research to the process of innovation in consulting firms, drawing on his recent book “The Scale-up Manual: Handbook for Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Teams and Firms”.
As with previous CMCE events there will be plenty of opportunity to contribute to the discussion so it promises to be an evening full of challenging ideas and genuinely useful insight so if you haven’t booked, I suggest you do so immediately by clicking on this link.
