Your vote can bring clean drinking water to impoverished villagers....
Entrepreneurship in Cambodia, Madagascar and India....
Earlier this year, I spent several rewarding and fascinating weeks in South East Asia – Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
The main focus of my trip was Cambodia and 1001fontaines (www.1001fontaines.com), an NGO with which I have been involved since 2008. It was founded in 2004 to create social enterprises with a sustainable business model to supply clean drinking water and improve the health of impoverished villagers in remote areas of Cambodia, as well as Madagascar and India.
My stay in Cambodia coincided with a due diligence visit to the Teuk Saat team on the part of a major UK funder (The Stone Family Foundation), who was keen to support our expansion in Cambodia. This resulted in 1001fontaines and Teuk Saat being awarded a substantial multi-year grant to help it to achieve its growth ambitions.
Recently, 1001fontaines was chosen by Google as one of 10 French finalists in its Global Impact Challenge.
Google will award EUR 500,000 to each of the 4 winners.
You can help to bring clean drinking water to several thousand more villages by voting for 1001fontaines via this link -https://impactchallenge.withgoogle.com/france2015/charity/1001fontaines The instructions are in French but all you need to do is click to vote for 1001fontaines.
Please vote before 7 October, 2015
