PM Ian Daniell

 
Dr Ian Daniell is a graduate civil engineer. He joined the army in 1973 ending up in command of the Royal Engineers Bomb Disposal Regiment. During this time he completed an MA in Management at the Kent Business School and developed an interest in selection, leadership, motivation and management development.

He left the army in 1994 and set up an interim management company providing senior managers to work in organisations on a temporary or part-time basis.

In 2004 he closed his company to focus on his research into interim management and to complete the first professional doctorate to be awarded in this area. He has operated as an independent management consultant and lectured on international negotiations at the Air Business Academy in Toulouse.

He was Master of the Company from 2008 to 2009 having earnt his spurs as chairman of the Membership Committee for what felt like many years. As a past Master he ran the Shop Talk (aka Professional Network) for a number of years and now actively supports all aspect of the Wine Club.

He is now the Visiting Lecturer Director for the UG Programme at the Cass Business School and lectures on professional skills and consultancy. He is also supervising a number of PhD students and has developed an interest in neuro-science and intercultural behaviour.
