​New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc - Choose your Own!

Following our first virtual wine tasting, we have decided that it will be more fun to focus on one style of white wine, rather than having completely "open house"!

We will therefore focus this tasting on Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is easy to purchase; the shelves of your local supermarket will be bursting with everything from Own Label, through The NED, Oyster Bay, Brancott Estate, Mud House, to Villa Maria Private Bin - and beyond.

However, we hope that the following two suggestions will guide you to a wine for a special experience on the evening:

• Brancott Estate Letter Series ‘B’ Sauvignon Blanc:  a complex wine displaying intense pink grapefruit, white nectarine, passionfruit and guava characters on the nose and palate. You can purchase this through xikixi.co.uk at £16.50 ex delivery
• Jules Taylor OTQ Sauvignon Blanc: a stunning example of a softer Sauvignon Blanc that offers a delicious combination of mandarin and guava, beautifully laced with notes of brazil nut and honey. This can be purchased through Decorum Vintners at £105 for six bottles.

Register for this pre-dinner wine tasting and we will have discussions about your choices, what sorts of food and snacks pair with each and discuss everyone's likes and dislikes. As before you can of course invite your "family bubble" as there is no charge for taking part. You just all need to huddle around your PC, smartphone or tablet. We will send the Zoom details to each registered participant, closer to the date with some wine tasting and food pairing suggestions.
