Installation Ceremony and Dinner 2018
The Installation of our New Master
WCoMC is a modern Livery Company yet we follow the tradition of the Livery in formally disrobing our Master and passing the robes and chain to his or her successor and then installing the new Master. In turn, he or she then installs the new Wardens and new Court Assistants.
We then celebrate the installation with a traditional black tie dinner: a reception followed by three courses with wines carefully matched to the menu by our Wine Committee. This year we are holding the ceremony and dinner at Grocers' Hall, the home of the second oldest Livery Company with a history that spans over 800 years.

This year we are welcoming John Corneille as our new Master. John has been heavily involved in our ProBono work as a participant and ultimately Chairman of our ProBono Committee. He is an accomplished consultant and has considerable experience of leadership at Price Waterhouse, PwC and IBM, alongside being a Trustee of a number of Charities. He aims to lead, engage with and help grow our Company and the diversity of our membership — continuing our strategic aim of being a Great Modern Livery Company.
John's Guest of Honour is Alderman Alison Gowman, who has a long history of engagement with WCoMC. Alison has been involved in all aspects of the work of the City of London during her years of service, alongside her role as a consultant with the international law firm DLA Piper UK LLP, specialising in real estate.
