The installation of our new Master, Wardens and Court Assistants is the highlight and start of our Livery year. However, the impact of Covid-19 with the attendant constraints on travel and social gatherings mean that it will not be possible to hold an in-person ceremony this year. The installation ceremony will therefore go ahead on a virtual basis using Zoom.
The programme for the evening will include:
Following the formal ceremony, we will hear from guest speaker Murray Craig, Clerk of the Chamberlain's Court. He is the 37th person to have held this post since 1294, and has a wealth of interesting stories, asides and anecdotes about the City. Participants will have the opportunity to question him and your new Officers. We will keep the conference room open after this session for as long as people wish to stay.
We are not proposing to advise on the drinks and nibbles that you will need to provide yourself, except to suggest that something fizzy would be appropriate for toasting your newly installed colleagues!
