Take this opportunity to meet new and existing Members and our new Master and Wardens at the start of our Livery Year, over an informal finger buffet with wine in the historic venue of the Members' Dining Room in Guildhall.
The reception will be preceded by an Admissions Ceremony, a traditional opportunity for existing members to welcome new Freemen and congratulate those who are being clothed in our Livery.
During the reception, the Master will outline his vision and plans for the forthcoming year and he has invited Ian Beesley, one of the early liverymen of our Company, to reflect on the value and pleasure of reviewing and recording history. Ian is well known to many of us as he was 22 years in the Civil Service prior to being a Partner in Price Waterhouse for 16 years. He is the Official Historian of the Cabinet Secretaries and author of The Official History of the Cabinet Office.
