Our annual church service of Celebration, Dedication and Thanksgiving - no booking required

Annual Service of Celebration, Dedication and Thanksgiving - 5pm

St James Garlickhythe is the Company’s church in Garlick Hill, very close to the Company’s offices. It is a unique 17th century City Church, a sacred place since 1100AD. Sir Christopher Wren rebuilt St James in 1683 after the Great Fire to be full of light, since when it has become known as ‘Wren’s Lantern’.

We are very fortunate once again to have the services of Honorary Liveryman, the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor Dr Andrew Parmley MusM HonFGS to play the organ at the service.

The theme of the service will be unity and diversity, and Mark Spelman, Member of the Executive Committee of the World Economic Forum will give the address. There is of course no charge for the service. There will be a retiring collection in aid of the church.

No booking or reservation is required. Please arrive at the church and be seated by 4.55pm

Directly after the service, we will withdraw to Skinners' Hall to welcome new members at the Admissions Ceremony that will precede the Autumn Celebration Reception. Please click here to reserve your places.
