The WCoMC Annual Change Lecture
Does Brexit really mean Brexit?
This year WCoMC, in conjunction with the Centre for Management Consultancy Excellence, is staging a timely debate, led by Hon Freeman Jon Moulton, Founder and Managing Partner of Better Capital, and Past Master Vicky Pryce, Economist and former Joint Head of the UK's Government Economic Service. Timely? because Brexit has been brought into a new focus by the 'snap' general election called for June so shortly after Article 50 was triggered.
This debate promises to answer the questions and issues still at the forefront of our minds about Brexit, for example:
-
The value of continuing to negotiate a deal
-
The implications of current EU and Government thinking
-
And the implications for Professional Services and the City
In this fast paced and no holes(sic) barred discussion with leading economists, writers, business leaders and academics, we hope to inspire honest conversation rather than rhetoric, substantiate facts rather than fake numbers. The session will be lead by Vicky Pryce, author and renowned economist versus Jon Moulton Founder of Better Capital and Chairman of the International Stock Exchange Group and Angel Investor. They will be joined by Prof Tony Travers from The LSE and Prof Abhinay Muthoo Dean of Warwick in London.
The evening, will start with a 'wine and nibbles' reception, followed by the debate and will close with further wine and canapés to allow for continuing informal discussion.
